Northern Ireland programme

Family Fund Original Source

About This Opportunity

Family Fund provides a wide range of grants to families living in Northern Ireland raising a disabled or seriously ill child, or young adult, on a low income. The programme helps families obtain items that will help meet their child's additional support needs and make life easier. Grants are available for a variety of items including kitchen appliances like fridges, cookers, or washing machines; clothing and bedding; sensory or play equipment; technology for children; family breaks; and much more. Families can apply every 24 months if they are the main carer for a disabled or seriously ill child aged 17 or younger, have been resident in Northern Ireland for at least six months, and have a low income from working or benefits. The grant can be used for items such as family breaks, clothing, computers and tablets, days out, furniture and household items, kitchen appliances, sensory toys, games consoles, outdoor play equipment, specialist trikes/bikes, and support for clubs, hobbies and activities.
