Northern Lights Design Excellence in Design for Manufacture Award

The Northern Lights Design Excellence in Design for Manufacture Award is an annual award presented to a team of students with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in MEC E 460 (Design Project) at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Engineering. The team is selected based on excellence in their selection of practical and economical materials and manufacturing processes. This endowed award was established by the Northern Lights Chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers on behalf of contributing donors and sponsors. Recipients are automatically considered through completion of the General Application at the University of Alberta and do not need to submit a separate application for this specific award.
