Northern Southland Veterinary Services Hamish Mavor Memorial Scholarship

The Northern Southland Veterinary Services Hamish Mavor Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a fourth-year student interested in General Practice with an emphasis on large animal and/or production animal medicine. The scholarship provides $1,500 per year for two years ($3,000 in total) and is designed to support veterinary science students pursuing careers in general practice veterinary medicine. Recipients must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree with a focus on veterinary science and must normally reside in New Zealand. The scholarship requires recipients to spend a minimum of two weeks in seeing practice during the fourth or fifth year of their degree, providing valuable hands-on experience in the field. Selection is based on the student's interest in this area of veterinary science and their academic credentials.
