About this opportunity

Created in 2006, the NSERC John C. Polanyi Award is given to an individual or team whose research, conducted in Canada, has led to a recent outstanding advance in any NSERC-supported field of the natural sciences or engineering. The award recognizes and supports a university researcher or team of researchers whose work has led to a recent outstanding Canadian advance in the natural sciences or engineering. Candidates may be nominated by any individual or group and can be at any stage in their career. The research that led to the advance must be in a field of natural sciences or engineering and must have occurred within approximately the last 10 years. Nominations are evaluated based on the novelty and quality of the advance, as well as the impact and significance of the advance within its field.
