NSHSS College Freshman Scholarship 2027

The NSHSS College Freshman Scholarship is designed to support NSHSS members who are enrolled as college freshmen in their first semester of college as of August 15, 2026. This scholarship celebrates students taking their first step toward achieving their educational and career goals through higher education. The program recognizes that pursuing a college degree is a significant milestone for students working toward their dream careers or advancing their futures. Applicants must submit a written response of 500-800 words explaining how they chose their college and what motivated them to attend college instead of pursuing other opportunities. The application also requires supporting materials including a color headshot, academic resume, transcript, and an educator recommendation letter. Optional media showing leadership in action may also be submitted.
