About this opportunity
NSW Health Aboriginal Nursing and Midwifery Scholarships and Cadetships provide a pathway to employment in the health sector for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The program aims to increase the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurses and midwives while providing financial and educational support from undergraduate to postgraduate studies. The scholarships support students undertaking nursing or midwifery degrees, with varying support levels depending on the type of scholarship: undergraduate scholarships provide up to $1,000 per subject for Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or Bachelor of Science (Midwifery) students; Enrolled Nurse to Registered Nurse Scholarships provide up to $15,000 per year for Enrolled Nurses employed in NSW Health facilities; and Postgraduate Scholarships provide up to $10,000 for registered nurses or midwives in NSW Health undertaking Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, or Masters programs in nursing or midwifery.
