About this opportunity
NSW Health Aboriginal Nursing and Midwifery scholarships and cadetships are a pathway to employment in the health sector. They increase the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurses and midwives and provide financial and educational support from undergraduate to postgraduate studies. The program offers three types of scholarships: Undergraduate Scholarships of up to $1000 per subject for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery; Enrolled Nurse to Registered Nurse Scholarships of up to $15,000 per year for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students employed as an Enrolled Nurse in a NSW Health facility and undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing; and Postgraduate Scholarships of up to $10,000 per year for Aboriginal people currently working as a registered nurse or registered midwife employed in a NSW Health facility to support postgraduate study and help with educational expenses.
