About this opportunity

The network grant aims to support internationalization and mobility through the development of long-term research collaborations within educational sciences focusing on digitalization and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education between Swedish research groups and American research groups. The grant provides opportunities to establish or further develop a network around a specified research area within STEM education, where both senior and junior researchers from the participating research environments participate. A purpose can be to explore opportunities to write joint applications and seek international funding to deepen international collaboration. The rapid technological development is changing society and increasing the need for young generations with good technical competence. Digital technology opens up many opportunities for teaching and learning and enables new ways to teach and learn STEM subjects. At the same time, a critical approach is needed regarding how digital technology contributes to teachers' and students' needs for teaching and learning in STEM, how individuals' different backgrounds and competence levels affect its use, and whether it is ethical and safe.
