About this opportunity
The Nuffield Farming Next-Gen Scholarship is aimed at young people aged 18-24 as part of an initiative to develop young talent within the agriculture industry. The scholarship program runs a 30-day study tour focusing on either dairy or regenerative agriculture, both open to applicants from the UK. Six scholarships will be awarded annually: three for dairy and three for regenerative agriculture. The program aims to give young people the opportunity to develop their understanding of the industry while building networks and future opportunities. Participants spend their time staying on farm with Nuffield Dairy or Regenerative Agriculture Study Group members after an initial induction day. The scholarship is fully funded and includes all travel and subsistence, attendance at the 2026 Nuffield Farming Conference in Leeds, and Nuffield Farming Associate membership. Successful applicants receive a scholarship worth £6,000, which includes a £1,000 financial incentive to part-cover replacement labour costs, enabling young people to leave their farms for the duration of the tour. The program provides a unique opportunity for young people at an early stage to engage with the Nuffield Farming alumni network and learn from their experiences.
