About This Opportunity

The Nursing and Midwifery Graduate Sign-on Bonus is a $5,000 payment available to nursing and midwifery graduates who complete their degrees in 2022, 2023, or 2024 and start their careers in Victorian public health services. The program is part of Victoria's commitment to strengthen the nursing and midwifery workforce. The bonus is paid in two instalments: the first $2,500 is paid after the graduate submits their claim, and the second $2,500 is paid after completing 2 full years of continuous employment with an eligible Victorian public health service. To be eligible, graduates must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, have completed an eligible Australian undergraduate nursing, midwifery, or double degree program, and start as a graduate nurse or midwife in the same calendar year or the year immediately following course completion. The program is funded through the Victorian Government Department of Health and administered by the Department of Government Services and the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions.
