Nursing & Midwifery Bursary

The Nursing & Midwifery Bursary is a financial support program for undergraduate students studying Bachelor of Nursing or Midwifery courses at Robert Gordon University. The bursary is administered by the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) and provides financial assistance throughout the duration of the program. The bursary provides £8,100 per year for students in years 1, 2, and 3 of their studies, and £6,075 for students in year 4. This funding is designed to support full-time, on-campus undergraduate students pursuing degrees in nursing and midwifery fields, specifically targeting residents of Scotland. Students receiving this bursary may also be eligible for supplementary grants including Dependants' Allowance, Single Parents' Allowance, Childcare Allowance for Parents, Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA), and clinical placement expenses. However, Nursing & Midwifery students receiving this bursary are not eligible for Student Loans, Young Students Bursary, or Independent Students Bursary. Applications are processed through SAAS with one application permitted per student per academic year. The deadline for applications is March 31st annually, and students must have a conditional or unconditional offer from Robert Gordon University to apply.
