About This Opportunity

The NZ GAV Trust - Euan Frizzell Bursary provides financial support for Bachelor of Design or Bachelor of Design (Honours) students who work predominantly in animation in their fourth year final project. Established by the New Zealand Games, Animation and Visual Effects Trust (NZ GAV Trust), the bursary commemorates Euan Frizzell, a Wellington animator and director who died in 2012. Two awards of $2,500 each are available annually to support students entering their fourth year of study who are undertaking a project with a focus on animation, in either analogue or digital medium. The bursary is open to both New Zealand and international students enrolled full-time at Massey University. Selection is based on demonstrated ability in animation at an appropriate level, the proposed animation project, and financial need. Recipients must submit a 500-word proposal for their animation project with links to their online portfolio, along with a statement of personal financial circumstances.
