About This Opportunity
The NZBI Scholarship provides funds up to $2,000 to assist individuals with research to improve knowledge in the field of biosecurity. The scholarship is restricted to New Zealand citizens or residents undertaking research in the field of biosecurity. Recipients must provide evidence of employment and/or registration with a recognised university or other tertiary training provider. Preference is given to applicants who have their employer's approval for the research. The scholarship also includes a complementary 2-year membership to NZBI. Recipients are required to submit a written report within six months of work completion and produce an article for publication in the NZBI Protect magazine. This award carries a 3-year stand-down period for successful applicants. Applications open on 1 September and close on 31 October each year.
