About this opportunity
The Oakland Foundation provides funding to support disadvantaged children under the age of 16 and their families. The Foundation focuses on three key themes: Education (helping children access educational projects regardless of background), Health and nutrition (enabling children to access learning and opportunities around healthy food and lifestyle choices), and Sport (helping children access sport and activities irrespective of social background or physical ability). As a small charity with limited funds, the Foundation can support only a set number of projects each year, with funding prioritized towards organizations and initiatives operating in key areas including Redditch, Bardon, Corby, Knottingley, and Skelmersdale. The Foundation acts as a seed funder, providing developmental support to help launch, grow or strengthen projects, though future or repeat funding cannot be guaranteed.
