About this opportunity
The O'Brien BHSc Admission Award is offered annually to undergraduate students entering the first year of post-secondary studies in the Cumming School of Medicine, Bachelor of Health Sciences program at the University of Calgary. The award is divided between students entering three streams: Biomedical Sciences, Bioinformatics, and Health and Society.
This scholarship recognizes academic merit based on high school grades, along with demonstrated community service, excellence in athletics, or work experience. Recipients must achieve a final admission average of a minimum 85.5% to the Bachelor of Health Sciences program.
The award is valued at $1,500 per recipient, with a variable number of awards available each year. The scholarship is made possible through the generous support of donors David and Gail O'Brien.
