Older People Grants

The Charles Hayward Foundation provides grants to UK registered charities with annual income less than £350,000 for projects exclusively benefiting older people over 60 in the British Isles. The foundation funds programs in three main areas: alleviating isolation and depression through informal day care and social activities; providing practical help and support for older people in their own homes; and addressing emotional and practical needs of people with dementia and their carers. The trustees prioritize preventative, community-level projects that allow older people to remain independent in their homes, demonstrate effectiveness in improving quality of life, and offer consistent, sustained benefits. This category is currently suspended due to unprecedented application volume and is planned to reopen in Spring 2026.
