Olea Postgraduate Scholarship

The Olea Scholarship was established thanks to a generous donation from brothers and St Andrews alumni, Ovidiu and Bogdan Olea. Ovi and Bogdan were born and brought up in Romania, Japan and Belgium before enjoying their undergraduate years in St Andrews. The scholarship is for a student from Romania applying for a Postgraduate Masters programme, with preference for Computer Science. The award provides £11,750 towards tuition fees for one year of postgraduate study. Selection is based on academic excellence and/or financial need. The award must be used towards tuition fees in the first instance, though if funding for tuition fees has been secured through alternate means, all or part of the scholarship may be converted to maintenance in some circumstances.
