Olga May Douglas Scholarship

The Olga May Douglas Scholarship provides financial support to non-traditional single parent students currently enrolled at Perimeter College at Georgia State University who are pursuing a degree in Business. The scholarship was established by Ingrid Thompson-Sellers in honor of her mother, Olga Mary Douglas, to recognize and support students demonstrating academic achievement, community engagement, and financial need. Eligible students must be non-traditional single parents in good academic standing with at least 15 credit hours completed and currently enrolled for at least 6 credit hours. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be majoring in Business. The scholarship requires applicants to submit a faculty letter of recommendation, documented proof of community or volunteer service, an essay describing academic and career goals, and a personal statement demonstrating financial need. This scholarship is designed to help single parent students overcome financial barriers while pursuing their business education at Perimeter College. Students are automatically considered for the scholarship upon completion of the General Application through Georgia State University's scholarship platform. The award amount varies based on available funding and recipient needs as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
