Om & Shanti Scholarship

The Om & Shanti Scholarship provides four-year awards of up to $6,000 per student per year to graduating high school seniors of a public high school in Dallas or Collin Counties in the State of Texas. This scholarship is designed to support students pursuing higher education, with preference given to applicants who intend to pursue a degree at an accredited educational institution in the state of Texas. Selection criteria includes scholastic achievement, school and community participation, demonstrated leadership potential, and financial need. In the event that applicants are of equal merit, preference will be given to first-generation higher education students. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale and are required to complete the FAFSA prior to applying in order to complete the Financial Need Section of the Universal Application, submit a required essay, and provide two letters of recommendation.
