About This Opportunity

The Oncology Nursing Foundation provides comprehensive funding opportunities for oncology nurses at all career stages. Since 1981, the Foundation has awarded more than $33 million in research grants, fellowships, academic scholarships, lectures, public education projects, career development awards, and ONS Congress scholarships. The Foundation supports registered nurses committed to improving cancer care through multiple funding mechanisms including: ONS Congress Scholarships (up to $2,000 for conference attendance), Academic Scholarships for BSN, Master's, PhD, and DNP degrees, Research Grants for doctorally-prepared investigators, Leadership Scholarships for nurses developing leadership skills, and special recognition awards like the Connie Henke Yarbro Excellence in Cancer Nursing Mentorship Award. Applications are processed through an online portal with single sign-on access. The Foundation also provides volunteer opportunities for nurses to serve on grants and scholarship review teams, contributing to the peer review process.
