About This Opportunity

The Oncology Nursing Foundation Bachelor's Scholarships provide financial support to registered nurses committed to oncology nursing who are pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing. The scholarships are awarded at $3,000 each and can be used for tuition and fees required for enrollment or attendance at an accredited educational institution, as well as books, supplies, lab fees, and equipment required for approved courses. Applicants must be currently enrolled in, accepted to, or have applied to a Bachelor of Nursing degree program at a CCNE or NLN-CNEA accredited School of Nursing. Candidates must be registered nurses with a demonstrated commitment to oncology nursing. The application process includes submitting an essay describing professional goals related to oncology nursing advancement, impact on cancer patient care, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The scholarships are supported by the Oncology Nursing Foundation, Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, Oncology Practice Alliance, Inc. and the Thomas M. Burke and Margaret Barton-Burke Scholarship Fund for First Generation Students. Recipients are selected based on their ability to clearly articulate their goals, demonstrate professional growth, and show contributions to the cancer care community.
