Opplæring i norsk og samfunnskunnskap for vaksne innvandrarar

This grant program consists of two types of subsidies: persontilskot (person subsidy) and grunntilskot (basic subsidy). The person subsidy is automatically paid to municipalities and county municipalities for adult immigrants who have the right and obligation to training in Norwegian and social studies. The basic subsidy is automatically paid to small and medium-sized municipalities to improve the economic framework conditions for training in Norwegian and social studies. The person subsidy is designed to help municipalities provide Norwegian language and civic education training for adult immigrants aged 18-67, enabling them to learn sufficient Norwegian to function in professional and social life. The subsidy also covers the implementation of exams in Norwegian and social studies. A person can trigger a person subsidy for a maximum of three years according to fixed rates. The basic subsidy is an annual grant paid to municipalities with 1 to 150 persons in the calculation basis as of January 15. A person is included in the calculation basis for the basic subsidy for a maximum of three years. The subsidy is paid automatically based on registration in the National Introduction Register (NIR) and is distributed quarterly throughout the year.
