OPPO Postgraduate Research Award in Computational Science

This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance and support to a PhD student who is undertaking research in the field of machine learning at the School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney. The award is funded by OPPO Mobile Telecommunications and aims to support high-achieving students conducting research currently led by Dr Tongliang Liu. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney's Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate, indexed annually on January 1st. Recipients receive up to three years of funding with a possible six-month extension subject to satisfactory academic performance. For international students, the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) is also covered for up to twelve research periods with a possible two-period extension. Selection is based on academic merit, curriculum vitae, and the area of study and/or research proposal.
