About this opportunity
The Orcadia Foundation Scholarship is designed to support students who have recently migrated to Australia from non-English speaking backgrounds and face circumstances that impact their ability to study. The scholarship provides financial assistance to help migrant students with the challenges of relocating from different cultures and environments. The Orcadia Foundation was established by a founder who relocated to Australia from the UK in 1972 and wanted to help those facing greater challenges than he experienced. The scholarship provides up to $5,000 paid over one year to help reduce the financial struggle for eligible students. Preference is given to current or former refugees and commencing students who have recently migrated to Australia. Recipients can use the funds to focus on their studies rather than working minimum wage jobs, allowing them to achieve their academic goals and maintain high grades.
