Orchesis Spring/Summer Study Award

The Orchesis Spring/Summer Study Award is awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student with satisfactory academic standing who intends to pursue dance training during the spring/summer months. Recipients must have a demonstrated interest in performing, choreographing, and/or teaching modern and jazz dance. Selection is based on participation in dance classes, involvement with Orchesis or in the production of Dance Motif through dancing, choreographing, working backstage, and/or promoting the event. This award is intended to provide financial support to enable the recipient to pursue dance training during the summer months. The award is endowed by the Orchesis Dance Group and is available to continuing students at the University of Alberta.
