About This Opportunity

The Orchestra – Witheford Don Scholarship was established in 2018 to assist outstanding students to undertake studies in 'back of orchestra' instruments including lower bass (trombones), or woodwind (clarinet, oboe or bassoon) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. This scholarship is funded by The Cary James & Anne Witheford Foundation and supports both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, portfolio and/or performance, and for postgraduate research applicants, research achievements and potential. No separate application is required as eligible students are automatically considered as part of their admission application to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
