About this opportunity

The Ormond Wilson Scholarship was established in memory of Ormond Wilson, farmer, politician and scholar. This scholarship supports school leavers who are looking to study their first undergraduate degree under either Wellington Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences or Wellington Faculty of Science at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship will be awarded on academic merit, but consideration will also be given to other factors such as character, qualities of leadership and contribution to cultural and/or sporting activities. The financial circumstances of the candidates will also be considered, with priority given to applicants whose family background is such that because of their limited financial resources they would be facing considerable financial hardship because of deciding to go to university.
