Paige Doucette Crane, Walnut Ridge High School Scholarship Fund

The scholarship was created by Paige Doucette Crane, a former member of the newspaper and yearbook staff at Walnut Ridge High School. The scholarship demonstrates her belief that students in Columbus City Schools, and Walnut Ridge High School in particular, should have the opportunity to follow their desire and abilities to higher education. The scholarship highlights the importance of extracurricular activities for all students and seeks to encourage graduating seniors to realize their goal of pursuing higher education. This scholarship supports students attending two- or four-year colleges or universities, or career or technical programs in the United States, with a preference for candidates who plan to attend a four-year institution. The award provides up to $12,000 total, disbursed as a maximum of $3,000 per year for the duration of the recipient's first program, with a maximum of four years.
