About This Opportunity

The Pakohe Sustainability Scholarship recognises the University's commitment to supporting students who have demonstrated sustainability initiatives and practices that align with our aim to be a global thought leader, by integrating sustainability into all we do. Scholarships will be awarded competitively based on academic merit, demonstration of involvement in sustainability initiatives and practices, intended involvement as a sustainability leader at the University, and commitment to community. Scholarships are valued at $5,000 or $10,000 for the first year of study which can be put towards accommodation costs at a Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington hall of residence, or as a contribution towards tuition fees (unless you qualify for Fees Free). Recipients will be provided with mentoring from the University's director of sustainability and can enhance their skills by joining many initiatives at the University, such as the Green Impact programme, the students' association sustainability committee, the Growing our Future project, and the Piki Toitū student volunteer programme.
