About this opportunity
The Palacios Area Fund Scholarships award up to five one-time scholarships each year to graduating seniors of Palacios High School in the State of Texas. These scholarships may be used at any accredited college, university, junior college, vocational institute or trade school in the United States. The program includes five different named scholarships with specific criteria: the Clarence G. Ripke, Jr. Scholarship for students with an interest in baseball; the Edward O. Morris Scholarship for students demonstrating financial need, scholastic ability, good citizenship and Christian values; the Bill and Carolyn Bradshaw Scholarship for Students with Disabilities for students with physical or mental disabilities or those enrolling in career programs to help people with disabilities; the Smith/Holst Endowment Scholarship providing encouragement and financial support to deserving students with inadequate financial resources; and the Warren M. Morris III Scholarship for students enrolling in STEM-related career programs. Selection criteria includes school and community participation, demonstrated leadership potential and financial need as determined by the scholarship committee.
