About This Opportunity

The Palgrave Brown Scholarship has been established by the Palgrave Brown Bursary Fund to provide funding for undergraduates from certain Eastern European countries who are in need of financial assistance. The scholarship provides an annual grant towards living costs for the duration of the undergraduate course (3 or 4 years depending on course length). Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need, and academic merit is also taken into consideration. As this is a partial award, priority is given to students for whom this scholarship will make the most difference in being able to afford studying at Oxford. The scholarship is open to students from specific Eastern European countries including Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Recipients are expected to write an annual report about their academic and social activities, and receipt of the award in subsequent years is subject to satisfactory academic progress.
