About This Opportunity

The Pamela Joy Equity Scholarship is a $10,000 yearly scholarship established in 2023 to support undergraduate students from disadvantaged backgrounds studying at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is funded by a donation from Dr Pamela Joy and is designed to assist students who face socioeconomic barriers to higher education. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 per annum and is tenable for the published full-time duration of the recipient's undergraduate degree up to a maximum of four years of full-time study or part-time equivalent. Recipients are selected based on their level of disadvantage at time of application, as determined by UAC Educational Access Scheme categories, and academic merit measured by University Admission Index. Preference is given to female students commencing studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Note: This scholarship is no longer offered to new students.
