Parents and Carers Bursary

The Parents and Carers Bursary is a financial support program offered by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David for undergraduate students who are carers and/or parents with childcare costs. The bursary provides up to £1000 in support, depending on the student's circumstances. It is designed to help students manage the financial burden of childcare or caring responsibilities while pursuing their undergraduate education. The bursary offers different levels of support: up to £500 for childcare costs at registered facilities where government or Student Finance funding is not available, up to £500 for adult dependants where students are not eligible for other grants, or up to £1000 for students under 25 who are Young Adult Carers. Applications must be submitted via the HWB (university portal) and require supporting evidence such as letters from Local Authorities, Social Services, or Carer's Support Groups. Payments are made in instalments throughout the academic year.
