About this opportunity
This funding opportunity is part of Sweden's CSO Strategy (Civil Society Organisations Strategy 2025-2029) and is specifically designed for Swedish civil society organizations to support civil society strengthening in low- and middle-income countries. The program aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society and improve conditions for civil society to operate in developing countries. Organizations applying must partner with an organization in an ODA-eligible country (low- or middle-income country). The program offers two funding levels and requires organizations to contribute 15 percent of the total project budget with their own funds. The application process, reporting, and results documentation have been simplified. The program is part of Sida's annual calls within the CSO strategy and seeks to engage both new and established organizations to contribute to civil society strengthening across diverse thematic areas, target groups, and geographic regions. The current call aims to expand the diversity of partnerships, with current partnerships already spanning over 40 countries across all continents.
