About this opportunity
The Path to Prosperity Scholarship Program is a collaborative initiative led by the Florida Prepaid College Foundation and the Florida Chamber Foundation to provide college scholarships for Florida's most economically disadvantaged students in grades 9-12 living in the most poverty-stricken zip codes in the state. The program aims to raise $20 million in college scholarships, with donations matched dollar-for-dollar by the Florida Prepaid College Foundation, doubling the impact of contributions. More than 700,000 Florida children are living in poverty, and half of those children live in 15% of Florida's zip codes. The scholarship program seeks to reduce childhood poverty by providing a pathway to college for students in these priority zip codes. Florida Prepaid College Plan scholarships are awarded to deserving high school students who demonstrate exemplary promising efforts in their classrooms and communities while overcoming significant challenges in their lives. Students must use the scholarship at a public college or university in Florida within six years of high school graduation. The program is built on the belief that we can make a difference for Florida's children, one college scholarship at a time.
