About this opportunity
The Patricia McVeigh Memorial Academic Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of Patricia McVeigh, a counselor at Reynoldsburg High School from 1970 until her passing in 1987. Established through the will of her husband Emil McVeigh in 2010, this scholarship celebrates Mrs. McVeigh's lifelong commitment to the pursuit and sharing of knowledge. She had a passion for the arts, particularly music, dance, literature, and theater, and maintained deep interests in history, current events, and politics. She was known as a voracious reader who valued learning from people of all walks of life.
The scholarship awards two scholarships annually to graduating seniors from Reynoldsburg High School who demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum 3.5 GPA over seven semesters. Each scholarship equals the amount of the National Merit Scholarship at $2,500. Recipients must plan to attend an educational institution in the United States. This scholarship reflects Mrs. McVeigh's dedication to education and her belief in empowering students to pursue knowledge across diverse fields of study.
