About this opportunity
The Patricia (Pat) Price Memorial Prize in Writing is awarded to an undergraduate student with satisfactory academic standing who has completed a WRITE course in fiction or non-fiction. Selection is based on the greatest merit demonstrated in writing. This award is open to both full-time and part-time students. Previous winners are ineligible for future consideration. The prize was established by Paul Deans in memory of his wife Pat Price, an author and editor who loved writing, traveling and crafting. Pat took great pleasure helping first-time authors rework and polish their manuscripts prior to publication. The award is administered through the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta.
