About this opportunity
The Paul and Katherine Snyder Scholarship is awarded to full-time students majoring in accounting at Eastern Illinois University. The scholarship is designed to assist students with unmet financial need who demonstrate high potential to excel in the field of accounting. Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate that without the award, they may not realize their full potential in their academic and career pursuits.
Financial need is a primary consideration, with priority given to students who require loans and outside employment to cover the cost of attendance. The award is specifically intended to support students with significant unmet financial need. Recipients are selected by EIU accounting faculty based on their potential for excellence in the accounting field.
Recipients must submit an essay outlining their need for the award in attaining their career goals. The scholarship is renewable provided recipients continue to meet the eligibility criteria. Awards are announced in the spring and distributed in the fall semester.
