About this opportunity
One scholarship, valued at up to $1,000, is awarded annually to an outstanding student entering first year in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo. The scholarship shows preference to a student who identifies as a woman. This entrance scholarship was made possible by a donation from Waterloo graduates Paul Koenderman, BASc in Mechanical Engineering, and Suzanne Koenderman, BA in English. The scholarship is designed to support incoming engineering students as they begin their undergraduate studies. Selection is based on academic performance, the Admission Information Form (AIF), and an online video interview. No separate application is required beyond the standard admission process.
