About this opportunity
The Paul D. Pierotti Memorial Scholarship is awarded to full-time students majoring in Biological Sciences at Eastern Illinois University who plan to pursue careers in natural resource management or other environmentally-related fields. Recipients must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 and submit a 500-word essay on an environmental or natural resource topic provided by the selection committee. Preference is given to applicants whose residence is within DuPage County, Illinois, or contiguous counties if no qualified applicants are found within DuPage County. Additional preference is provided to applicants who volunteer with or are associated with The Conservation Foundation in Northeastern Illinois and/or The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. The award is announced in the Spring and paid in the Fall, applied first against costs associated with attending Eastern Illinois University including tuition, fees, and housing.
