About This Opportunity

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans provides merit-based funding for New Americans—immigrants and children of immigrants—who are poised to make significant contributions to US culture, society and academia. Each year, the fellowship invests in the graduate education of 30 New Americans who demonstrate creativity, originality, initiative, and sustained accomplishment. Fellows receive up to $90,000 in financial support over two years and join a lifelong community of over 835 New American Fellows representing 103 countries of heritage. The fellowship supports graduate students pursuing careers across diverse fields including medicine, science, law, policy, technology, business, government, non-profits, the arts, and academia. The program emphasizes empowering New Americans with resources to further their education, viewing this as a benefit both for the individual fellows and for the nation and society as a whole.
