About this opportunity

Two scholarships, valued at $10,000 each, will be provided annually to full-time graduate students enrolled in the master's program in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Selection will be based on an application for admission to the program and on academic excellence with a minimum cumulative average of 80% or equivalent. This fund is made possible by a donation from Sandra Dirksen in memory of her late husband, Paul Dirksen who was a pioneer computer scientist at the University of Waterloo. The scholarship is awarded automatically based on applications for admission, with award payments starting in the fall term. No separate scholarship application is required, and this award will be provided in addition to any minimum funding the student is offered.
