Paul E. Schweiger Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Paul E. Schweiger Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Shaler Area High School. This scholarship is designed to support students who have displayed talent or interest in a particular field of study or activity with emphasis on journalism. The fund provides financial assistance to students who demonstrate financial need and plan to attend an accredited vocational or technical trade school or 2- or 4-year college or university. Recipients must be involved in productive extracurricular and/or other activities outside of school which reflect an ordinary student who shows extraordinary self-discipline and motivation to goals larger than self. The scholarship seeks to recognize students who maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and demonstrate commitment to their educational and personal goals.
