About This Opportunity

The Peace and Social Justice Scholarship was established in 2024 in recognition of Marty Morrison and a lifetime dedicated to advocating for Education, Peace and Justice. The scholarship aims to support students pursuing a Master of Social Justice at the University of Sydney. This scholarship is available to students enrolled in Master of Social Justice (Human Rights), Master of Social Justice (Development Studies), or Master of Social Justice (Peace and Conflict Studies) within the School of Social and Political Sciences. The scholarship provides financial support to help students undertake their degree while demonstrating a commitment to the principles of social justice, peace, and human rights. Preference is given to applicants who demonstrate financial disadvantage and/or hardship based on various criteria including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity, low socio-economic status, carer responsibilities, disability, sole-parent responsibilities, regional or remote disadvantage, refugee status, LGBTIQ+ identity, or first-generation university student status.
