Peace River Pioneer Memorial Scholarships

The Peace River Pioneer Memorial Scholarships are awarded to students with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta. Eligibility is restricted to students whose homes lie north of township 68 and west of the 5th meridian in the Province of Alberta. Recipients will be selected on the basis of their admission average, with preference given to students with indicated financial need. This scholarship was established through endowed funds by the late Mr Charles Plavin of North Star, Alberta, to support students from this specific geographic region in pursuing their undergraduate education.
