About This Opportunity

The Pearl and Samuel Huang Scholarship in Computer Science is offered annually to continuing undergraduate students entering their third or fourth year in the Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary, majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Engineering. Pearl and Samuel Huang created this gift in order to support students who share their passion for community service and leadership. Samuel graduated in 1999 with a BSc in Computer Science. The scholarship recognizes students based on academic merit and extra-curricular activities demonstrating community service and leadership. Two awards of $2,500 each are available annually to eligible students who are pursuing their education in computer science with a software engineering focus. This scholarship reflects the donors' commitment to supporting the next generation of computer science professionals who demonstrate not only academic excellence but also a dedication to giving back to their communities through service and leadership activities.
