About this opportunity
The Peggy and Tom Mulligan Scholarship is awarded alternate years to a full-time University of Waterloo graduate student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering or the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science who holds an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) or a Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science & Technology (QEII-GSST). The first scholarship is awarded to a graduate student in Civil Engineering and in the second year to a graduate student in Computer Science. The scholarship is valued at $15,000 total, comprised of $5,000 from the endowment and $10,000 from government matching funds. The scholarship is open to Canadian residents and recipients are automatically selected by the Associate Dean, Graduate Studies, Faculty of Engineering or Mathematics depending on the year. Awards are paid over 3 academic terms starting in the Fall. This endowment fund began awarding scholarships in 2008.
