Pella Window & Door Company Scholarship

The Pella Window & Door Company Scholarship is a one-time scholarship funded by Virginia Tech and awarded to third-year undergraduate students majoring within the architecture program. The scholarship recognizes excellence in the study of architecture and requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale. Recipients must be in good standing with the School of Architecture + Design at Virginia Tech. Primary preference is given to students who are from the state of Iowa, reflecting the company's geographic roots. Secondary preference is given to students who are the first generation in their family to attend college, supporting educational access and opportunity for underrepresented populations. The scholarship application requires supplemental essays exploring how challenges in architecture have influenced the student's perspective, how the scholarship would contribute to their educational journey, and their insights on the first-generation student experience. The award amount varies and is determined annually.
