About this opportunity
This bursary is paid on behalf of a student to their school of choice who demonstrates financial need to enable them to pursue education at a Canadian post-secondary level, including university, college, technical institute, or other educational institutions. It is designed to help offset the additional expenses of studying away from home with the goal of supporting more individuals to pursue their educational dreams. The bursary is available for a wide range of educational pursuits including university and college academic disciplines, professional programs such as law or medicine, academic upgrading, trades such as plumbing or mechanics, and defined skills such as paramedics, hairdressing and truck driver training courses. The program disburses funds throughout the year in three terms (Fall, Winter, and Spring), with bursaries paid directly to eligible Canadian educational institutions that have a registered charitable number.
