Perla and Ehud Ben Zvi Prize in Ancient History

Awarded to a student with superior academic achievement in course(s) dealing with ancient history. Selection is based on academic achievement in ancient history course(s) completed. Ancient history is here understood to include studies of the social, political and economic conditions and processes that existed in ancient societies – including studies of, or based on, archaeological data – as well as studies of their intellectual history, ideological discourses, literature, language and cultural poetics. This prize recognizes excellence in the study of ancient history and is endowed by Perla and Ehud Ben Zvi through the University of Alberta's Faculty of Arts.
